Pearse Partners is currently mandated by a leading US mid-market investment bank looking to hire an Associate 1 or 2 into its Healthcare M&A team in London.
The firm has an established international platform and advises a broad range of corporates and financial sponsors on M&A transactions. With a lean, highly active London team, Associates benefit from significant responsibility on live mandates, direct exposure to senior bankers and meaningful client interaction from an earlier stage than at many larger platforms.
The Role
The successful candidate will join the bank’s Healthcare M&A practice, advising on buy-side and sell-side transactions across MedTech and Healthcare Services.
Working directly alongside senior bankers, you will take ownership of key elements of the transaction process, including:
- Executing buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions from initial analysis through to completion
- Building and reviewing detailed financial models and valuation analyses
- Preparing client presentations, marketing materials and transaction documentation
- Managing key workstreams and coordinating across clients, advisers and other transaction stakeholders
- Conducting company, sector and market analysis to support live mandates and origination
- Working directly with senior bankers and gaining meaningful client exposure throughout the deal process
- Supporting and developing junior members of the team
Candidate Requirements
- Associate 1 or 2 level, with approximately 4–5 years’ relevant M&A experience
- Investment Banking or Big Four Corporate Finance / M&A background
- Strong live deal execution experience across the full M&A process
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Healthcare sector experience is preferred but not essential; candidates from other sectors with a strong M&A execution track record will also be considered
