10 of the largest Private Equity Funds haul in $160 billion across 2022 resulting in Advent International, Thoma Bravo and KKR leading the pack as the biggest capital raisers. 

At the top of the list is Advent Internationals £25 billion raise which came after less than 6 months in the market, representing a 40% increase on the amount gathered for its 2019 predecessor. 

Thoma Bravo’s $32.4 billion fundraise across three buyout funds smashes the tech sectors fundraising record. Its $24.3 billion flagship fund that closed in early December, is 37% larger than its predecessor. 

Also in the mix, Insight Partners which raised $17.23 billion, 44% higher than its target of $12 billion. And it is worth noting that Brookfield Assets Management raised $15 billion for its maiden fund, Brookfield Global Transition Fund, making it the ‘worlds largest private fund dedicated to facilitating the global transition to a net-zero carbon economy’, according to the firm.
