Investment Banking Associate – Consumer

Pearse Partners has partnered with a global investment bank seeking to expand its Consumer M&A team in New York with an Associate hire due to sustained deal activity and a strong pipeline of transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute M&A transactions across the Consumer sector, spanning sub-verticals such as retail, food & beverage, consumer services, and branded goods
- Manage all deal stages from origination to completion, including preparing marketing materials (IMs, teasers), financial models, and client presentations
- Take a lead role in running valuations, conducting industry research, and coordinating due diligence processes
- Support senior bankers in maintaining and developing client relationships with corporates, financial sponsors, and strategic investors
Ideal Background:
- 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, preferably with exposure to the Consumer sector, but not essential
- Strong M&A execution track record (sell-side, buy-side, public and private transactions)
- Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills, with the ability to take ownership of transaction deliverables
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
