Investment Associate – Generalist
We have partnered with an Asian sovereign wealth fund seeking an Associate to join its generalist investment team. Associates will work across a broad range of sectors including Technology, Media & Communications, Industrials, Healthcare, and Financial Services, supporting new investments, acquisitions, portfolio monitoring, and exit analysis. The team operates in a lean, collaborative environment, offering close exposure to senior investment professionals, management teams, and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform company and industry due diligence, including quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Build and stress-test financial models across various capital structures
- Support evaluation of new investments, add-on acquisitions, and exit opportunities
- Monitor portfolio company performance and prepare quarterly reporting
- Develop investment committee materials and present analyses to senior stakeholders
- Maintain internal systems and support ad hoc strategic projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance
- 2+ years’ experience in investment banking or private equity
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills (Excel & PowerPoint essential)
- Strong understanding of private equity fundamentals and capital markets
- Excellent communication skills; able to present complex analysis clearly
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and effective in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
