Director Investment Banking – FIG (Insurance)

Pearse Partners are currently mandated by a leading global investment bank to hire a Director into their FIG M&A team in New York, with a specific focus on the insurance sector.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a high-performing and well-established FIG platform with a strong track record across the U.S. and internationally. The team offers exposure to landmark transactions in life, P&C, reinsurance, and insurance services, working closely with leading corporates and financial sponsors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of M&A transactions across the insurance sector, covering life, P&C, reinsurance, and insurance services
- Take full ownership of client deliverables including marketing materials, financial models, and transaction documentation
- Drive due diligence processes and manage coordination with legal, tax, actuarial, and other external advisors
- Build and maintain relationships with insurance corporates, financial sponsors, and other key stakeholders in the FIG ecosystem
- Mentor and develop Analysts and Associates within the team, fostering technical and professional growth
Key Requirements
- 6–10 years of investment banking experience, with strong exposure to FIG and a proven focus on insurance transactions
- Demonstrated track record executing M&A transactions end-to-end, across both buy-side and sell-side mandates
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and client management skills, with the ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment
- A passion for the financial services sector and deep knowledge of the insurance M&A landscape
