Associate, Energy Transition Investments
We are partnering with a leading mid-cap infrastructure investor to hire an Associate into its Sustainable Infrastructure team, focused on the energy transition.
The platform has established a strong position across the UK energy transition landscape, with particular depth in battery storage, solar, and grid flexibility. Following a recent strategic acquisition, the business is entering a new phase of growth—expanding both its platform capabilities and international footprint.
This is an opportunity to join a lean, high-performing team where Associates gain meaningful responsibility and exposure across the full investment lifecycle.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in supporting investments across energy transition and infrastructure assets, with responsibilities spanning:
- Building and reviewing detailed financial models to support investment decisions
- Supporting transaction execution from origination through to completion
- Preparing investment materials and contributing to Investment Committee discussions
- Working closely with asset management teams to optimise portfolio performance
- Contributing to origination efforts and sector research across key energy transition themes
The team operates in a mid-market environment, with a strong focus on platform-building and portfolio construction, rather than purely large-scale, competitive auction processes.
Candidate Profile
- 2–4 years’ experience in infrastructure investing or relevant investment banking
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skillset
- Exposure to energy, infrastructure, or real assets is advantageous
- Commercial mindset with a genuine interest in the energy transition
- Motivated to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial investment environment
