Vice President – GP-Led Secondaries Advisory

Pearse Partners is currently working with a leading global advisory platform seeking to hire a Vice President within its Private Capital Advisory team, focused on GP-led secondaries advisory.
The team advises private equity sponsors and institutional investors on complex liquidity solutions including continuation vehicles, fund recapitalisations, portfolio asset sales and structured secondary transactions.
This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most complex transactions in the global secondaries market, partnering closely with private equity sponsors, institutional investors and global advisory teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of GP-led secondaries transactions, including continuation vehicles, fund restructurings and portfolio liquidity solutions
- Support private equity sponsors in evaluating strategic and financial alternatives for portfolio assets and funds
- Oversee transaction processes from origination through execution and closing
- Perform and review valuation analysis, financial modelling and transaction structuring
- Manage preparation of marketing materials, investor presentations and transaction documentation
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage interactions with clients, investors, legal advisors and internal teams
- Contribute to origination efforts, supporting senior bankers in developing relationships with sponsors and institutional investors
- Mentor and manage junior team members across multiple live mandates
Candidate Profile
- 6–10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, secondaries advisory or a related field
- Direct experience in secondaries transactions, private capital advisory or M&A is strongly preferred
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities
- Demonstrated interest in private markets and GP-led secondaries transactions
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment
