Investment Banking Associate – FIG (London)
Pearse Partners is working with a leading global investment bank to hire an Associate into its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team advising financial institutions on a broad range of M&A and capital markets transactions across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of M&A, IPO, and capital markets transactions within the FIG sector
- Build and review detailed financial models, including valuation analysis (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions)
- Prepare high-quality client presentations, pitch materials, and transaction documentation
- Conduct in-depth sector and company research across financial institutions, including banks, insurers, and asset managers
- Manage transaction workstreams, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors
- Provide guidance and oversight to Analysts and junior team members
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in Investment Banking, with FIG experience strongly preferred
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Experience executing M&A and/or capital markets transactions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong academic background from a leading university
